Electrolysis involves permanently removing the hair at it's root. A very fine,
sterilized probe is inserted into the hair follicle- the skin itself is never
punctured or broken. The machine releases a mild current of heat causing the
hair to be released. The hair is then lifted out with a tweezer. In our
offices, we offer both shortwave(thermolysis) and blend methods of
electrolysis. The choice can be yours.
Most people feel a quick sensation with each current of heat, but it is
certainly less painful than waxing. Tender areas such as the upper lip, are
treated with less current than less sensitive areas. After the initial
electrolysis treatment, many people ask, "Is that it? I thought it would be
much more painful." For those with sensitive skin, we encourage the use of
L.M.X. © topical anesthetic cream before your electrolysis treatment. It is new
breakthrough in pain relief, available without prescription, and sold in
convenient sizes- available for retail sale through our offices.
Developed by a doctor in 1875, electrolysis has been refined over the years and
is perfectly safe. Of course, as with any treatment, the degree of safety is
directly dependent on the operator. To prevent infection, single use disposable
needles are used and discarded after treatment. Gloves are always worn by our
operators during treatment, and infection control standards are strictly
adhered to. Electrolysis is the only FDA approved method of permanent hair
removal.
Pick up the phone and call. Isn't it time you got started on permanently
removing unwanted hair?
